Founded in 1971 as a wholesaler of conventional and alternative publications with a modest list of fifty titles with a half-dozen accounts, the distributors has grown to become a full service wholesaler serving more than 3,500 retail bookstores, major chains, schools and libraries throughout the United States with list of 20,000 different titles from all major publishers and over 1,500 smaller presses. In 1976 the distributors moved from a 1,200 square foot basement to its present location --- a 30,000 square foot warehouse located in downtown South Bend. In 1990 a second warehouse with an additional 45,000 square foot of space was purchased, reflecting the continuing growth of both our title selection and our customer base nationally and abroad.

the distributors continues to be an industry leader in the areas of order fulfillment, speed of delivery and technology innovation, including the use of electronic ordering, bar coding and and data transfer. Orders are shipped on the same day received and our fulfillment rate traditionally averages 90%. In addition, the distributors provides total fulfillment servicing to smaller press publishers, including packaging and publishing consultation
